McLaren P1 GTR transforms into a drift hypercar by Lazante

A new project has emerged in the world of drift cars, promising to be a real sensation. Renowned racer Mad Mike Whiddett and engineering company Lazante have unveiled MadMac — a unique car based on the McLaren P1 GTR. It is planned that the car, which has undergone a «full drift treatment,» will be presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2024.

The initial photos of the McLaren P1 GTR, which left Lazante’s workshop in the UK after modification and headed to New Zealand for final touches, are breathtaking. The MadMac hypercar looks more aggressive and daring with its wide fenders, massive aerodynamic elements, and unique design.

According to a Lazante representative, the idea for MadMac arose after Mad Mike visited their stand at last year’s Goodwood Festival. Lazante is renowned for producing remarkable cars, and their experience with the McLaren P1 makes them experts in this field.

Mad Mike Whiddett, on the other hand, is known for his bold projects, including the Lamborghini Huracan Nimbul, the 5-rotor Mazda «787D,» and many other unique vehicles. MadMac promises to be another bright achievement in his career.

More detailed information about MadMac will be available in the coming weeks as development progresses. After its debut at the Goodwood Festival in July, the McLaren P1 GTR will participate in various events organized by O’Gara Coach, a luxury company from California.
